This one's for Mike...

Saw a great thing today...Linux is making commericals.  So here's a shout-out to computers that are not 'evil microsoft' based!

Guess I should update...

Well...not much has happened in the last few weeks...and yet, we are INCREDIBLY busy and running around crazy! Here are some quick highlights...

It snowed...seriously! It truly snowed in Houston Texas.  We didn't get much at our house, but they got 2-3 inches in town.  Of course, it was 76 degrees the next day, so...no more snow.
I've spent last week and the beginning of this week finishing up Christmas. Mike and I made a whole bunch of our Christmas presents this year...and I think they look so good! No pictures though, until next week, cuz we don't want to give away the surprise! :)
The vinyl lettering machine is SO MUCH FUN!  Next month we are going to decorate Katelyn's room with polka dots...as practice, of course.  Yeah!
We have been missing our gaming buddies and gaming nights...I guess the holidays are having everybody running around a bit crazy.
We had a great YW activity to a rest home.  I was so proud of my girls and their ability to listen and follow the spirit.
We're getting excited to have the Williams Family here next week for Christmas...we're going to miss Becky and Chris and the the Girls, as well as Jenny (and Elder Paul), but we'll rock the house with those of us who are here!
I figured out how to sell stuff on e-bay...I sold some old pairs of jeans and made some quick money.  It was great!
I lost 8 more pounds...yeah!
We've all had our share of being sick...I got a staff infection--totally yuck!--and then a cold. Katelyn has fought of her share of colds over the last few weeks, and Mike is coming down with something now...bummer!
We went to the Company's Christmas parties...the family/children party in the morning (it was a ZOO) and the adult party at night.  They were both so much fun, and really both deserve their own post, but this is going to have to do...
Katelyn is as cute as ever, and has started running everywhere...seriously, running!  Gotta love her!

Merry Christmas!
P.S.  Google is being stupid (or maybe it's just me), but I can't figure out how to move the pictures are the top. They are out of order, and why there is that picture of Katelyn at the Bunny farm, I don't know.  Enjoy!

I'm an Aunt!

Kasey and Chelsi had their baby! Yeah!! Welcome to the world Auklin Reed Craven! (Still unclear if it's Aucklin or Auklin...I'm seen it written both ways).

Chels was in labor for WAY too long, and then when things stopped progressing she had a c-section and Aucklin/Auklin was born! I'm so proud of them and wish I was there to see the beautiful baby boy! Yeah!!

Texas Letters

Our vinyl cutting machine arrive during Thanksgiving break...and Elena and I have been having so much fun (and spending so much time!) figuring it out! We've taken a couple of orders and we've got things mostly figured out...I think! We started a blog

texasletter.blogspot.com

and things are going so well! Yeah for fun crafty things!

Oh Christmas Tree...Oh Christmas Tree!

We went to get our Christmas tree for Family Night. I've never had a real one, at least not to my recollection, and it was so fun! We were going to go and cut down our own, but we decided to save money and go get a pre-cut one. It was a great deal...$35.00 bucks, 8 feet. And it's beautiful!
We've got the lights on, but haven't decorated quite yet. The lights help it to smell like pine, and it's fun to have places to put the Christmas presents.
Merry Christmas! :)

(Yes, we're wearing coats...it really was cold!)

Snow!!! (not really...not here anyway!)

Which one Wertlet?

And...drumroll please....Introducing Harold, our Christmas Tree!

A Garden Update...

Our winter garden (it's a beautiful thing about Texas!), is growing great! Mike puts in time every morning and every evening, and it's all paying off! Here's some of the latest pictures...

And sometimes, you have to do 'fun' things the help your garden grow...and so, one man's poop is another mans treasure!
We spent out afternoon today driving to Needville, about 40 minutes away, to visit a rabbit farm and collect rabbit manure. It's the best stuff next to Bat manure, or so I've been told. It was a fun farm--Katelyn loved the puppies and the bunnies, and we got lots of free fertilizer!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving. Our last two years, we have spent Thanksgiving just us and couple of Cornish game hens, so it was really fun to have family and a turkey feast! We made 4 different pies and had a few burning mishaps, but all in all, it was lovely! It was my first real Williams Family Thanksgiving, and it was great!
We went up to San Antonio for the holiday and we spent the time watching movies, blowing each other up in the game Scorched Earth, buying toys (computers, printers, t.v.s, etc...), and we even did some Black Friday shopping!
Katelyn did great, as usual, and the 3 hour drive didn't seem so long this time! Mike and I got to go on a fun Saturday afternoon date to Sea World, where we learned we are not as young as we once where--the roller coasters totally made us sick! Shamu was neat, though...we love Sea World! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and enjoyed this quick post!

Family Pictures, Take One

Mike's parents have a beautiful backyard, so we took the opportunity to take family pictures today. Can I just say, it's a joke with a 16month old! Out the window goes my dream pictures that I was planning in my head!! :) We got some good ones though, and I'm not giving up yet! You want lots of outfit changes, right?

(By the way...I still have a LONG way to go, but I bought new pants this weekend! Size 14!! I've lost 16 pounds! My goal is 31 more--but it's a race against time as we are officially 'trying.' We'll see! It was fun to feel skinny-ish, though!)

Any of these you want to see on your Christmas card?

Today I am grateful for modern technology that lets me take hundreds of terrible pictures without going through that much film!

A Fashion Show For Grandma...

We got a few packages from Grandma Craven and Aunt Jillisa--yeah for packages! Here is a fashion show for them to enjoy...(fyi, getting Katelyn to smile for the camera is...pretty much impossible...I know my child looks like a dweeb in most of these, but we love her anyway!)

Thanks Mom! You're a life-saver!

Today I am grateful for packages and Moms!
