WE DID IT!

Yaa-hoo!!
They say it takes a village to raise a child--well, I would add that it takes a village to send off a child. But we made it--Jilli is officially hitched, the reception went off great (even with the massive sound system which showed up last second), babies, husbands, children, homes and lives are no longer being neglected, and there are hundreds of people to thank.
Congrats Jillisa and Austin! More pictures (super CUTE ones I might add) to follow, but just wanted you all to know that we're still alive!

Did you do something Blog-worthy last week?

We did!!
We just got back from our awesome vacation to visit Mom and Dad Williams in San Antonio. Yeah for beautiful Texas! Perfect weather (we hit the time of year just right), beautiful bluebonnets and wildflowers, fabulous spa-like accommodations and wonderful company. We'll be doing this again--now accepting donations! :)

Here are the highlights...enjoy!

Katelyn was so excited to fly. She's been asking to go to the airport often these days, so it was fun to finally get to take her. She loved it. I loved not having the fly by myself!

Leaving for the airport...it amazing how much stuff you take with you when you've got a family!

This was her face pretty much the whole time...she had so much fun! (And was a wild child! Whew!)

This is Josh before take-off...he didn't look so happy after take-off. He doesn't love flying like his sister!

We arrived!!
First stop, the Wonder That Is WHATABURGER!! I love this place! I've missed it! They just don't make fast food in Utah like they do in Texas!
DAY 1:
We did some Pei-Wei (thanks Mom!)

We did some HEB--man I've missed that grocery store... tortillas, samples, awesome produce...yum! They should come to Utah!

We did some park-idge (avoided the ants, enjoyed the SUN! Notice the hair--I don't think you'll see it down again on this trip. I had forgotten what humidity does to hair!)

We did some concert-idge (Emily's choir did awesome. I was amazed at the teachers and the program as a whole. Way to go!!)
Day 2:

Mike and I got to go on a date to Government Canyon. We had a great time practicing using our new camera, and we even learned some things. We saw a REALLY cool tree, which I'm convinced was struck by lightening, and a butterfly landed on my shoe! Sweet!

Crafting with Linda Binda...check out that concentration!

We went and saw "How to Train Your Dragon." Super cute; I wouldn't say it's my favorite Pixar, but it was decent. Katelyn liked it too, and Josh slept! Loved it!!
Day 3:
Saturday morning we got up and went to see the GOATS. Grandpa was so excited to take Katelyn to see some of his friends goats and other animals. Katelyn loved them--one goat was even named Princess. And there were baby goats that were only 10 days old...so stinkin cute! Mike may have even convinced me to get one.
The evening was spent Iron-Chefing, as is tradition.
Iron Chef Grains and Wheat!
Day 4:
The Sabbath Day Holy.
Church at 8:30 (whew!), choir practice, game-idge, naps, talked to Elena (happy new baby Matthew!). Good day!

Day 5: (nope...not done yet!)
Zoo!! Walked and walked and walked. Heard an elephant trumpet. Saw a REAL persimmon tree (which of the Watsons can sing the song?! I know I can!! "A preacher went out a huntin, twas on one Sunday morn..."), had a bird attack Katelyn's sucker, took LOTS of pictures, went fishing, said hello to a goat/sheep...good, good fun!

Taco-Taco Cafe: This place was so yummy! We loved the puffy tacos...it was rated number 1 taco place in America by Food Network and Bon Appetit magazine, so when we saw the special on TV we knew we had to hit it up. And it did not disappoint! We'd recommend it!
(So would Josh!)

Birthday party and presents--gifts all round and YUMMY fajitas! Thanks guys!!

Day 6:
Riverwalk Boat tour...this was COOL. I learned a lot about the city, the skyline, the riverwalk--and didn't even get sick. Katelyn loved riding on a boat, Josh enjoyed eating the map.

Emily finishes a 2 year long project! Katelyn LOVES her 'special blanket'
Pool with Grandpa-

Day 7:
Headed for home~! Can't wait to do it again!!

Well...did you make it! Did I miss anything? See you next post! :)

Our weekend: More Easter Fun.

We had a great weekend. Coming off a LONG week for Mike at work, it was nice to spend time together and listen to conference. We had Easter dinner on Saturday, for lunch (yum!) and enjoyed our traditional Conference food on Sunday, with the Craven family. The Easter bunny came to our house on Saturday (he doesn't work on Sunday, don't you know), and we all ate more candy this weekend then we have eaten all year long, to date! Oh, how I've missed the sweet stuff! But, I'm back on the bandwagon of starvation now, so toodles until Jilli's wedding (when I'm going to eat anything I dang well please! :)
Anyway, our weekend, in picture form:

Katelyn had a very princess Easter basket. The princess Cinderella dress is made by yours truly, and just you wait until you see the Bell dress. She was giddy about the princess shoes and princess lips.
Such a good looking dude, even splotchy!
Spent lots of time listening to and learning the names of (for Katelyn anyway) these great men. Katelyn got a piece of candy every time she saw one of them. I felt the spirit and learned a lot!
Colored eggs with the fam. Mike thinks this is a strange tradition, but SO FUN!
Made a bunny cake--gotta put those cake lessons to use!

We're headed to sunny San Antonio tomorrow to enjoy the 'rents.' (or, parents, if you don't speak Williams...) Yeah!!

Oh yeah, and we went to bed last night, watching this....
Gotta love Utah weather! (Isn't it pretty? 6 new inches this morning!!)
