Check out our cute Katelyn!

Man! We love this girl. This post is all dedicated to our darling munchkin! Enjoy browsing!

So cute! I swear, one day she is going to pull this shelf down on herself!

YUM! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! She's probably too young to have ice scream, but we did it anyway! She loves it!!

Katelyn's favorite time of the day is bath time! She would stay in the tub all day if we let her!

What a happy girl! She's pulling up on things and cruising around the furniture. I put her walking by the time we move!

Here is a funny video--Katelyn has a new silly face!

We spent Saturday morning playing Frisbee golf with some friends from the ward. So fun! Did you know that they make specific Frisbee's just for Frisbee golf? They've got long range ones, putters, straight shooters, Frisbee's that are meant to curve around trees...who would have thought it would be so intense!

Katelyn is a climber (oh joy!) We had her in the stroller trying to put her to sleep and suddenly saw her bottle fly and her head poke out of the sun shield. Then she was up and out! Crazy girl!

We love it when Katelyn laughs--and Mike has the ability to get Katelyn to laugh better then anyone else! So cute!

Happy Easter!

Let's pretend that today is Easter...we sorta missed last week! I spent the weekend utterly sick--and thus no kodak moments were recorded! Katelyn and I wore our new Easter dresses again this week (again for her, the first time for me) in celebration of our post Easter-Easter Sunday.
I made her dress for Easter, and I was pretty pleased with myself. I think I did a pretty good job! Her dress makes her eyes look really great, and it is going to be so cute when we go and take pictures with the bluebonnets this year!

Katelyn got some fun things in her Easter basket. We didn't attend any official easter egg hunts this year (due to the sickness!) but she had fun playing with her basket by herself. Here's the hunt!

Yeah for the Zoo!

We went to the Zoo as part of our house hunting spring break trip! The Houston Zoo is only 7 minutes from our new house, and it is actually quite nice. We didn't even see half of it, but we were pleased with what we did see. They are finishing a brand new African forest section--while will house lots of monkeys when it's finished! Yeah for monkeys! (I have two of them at my house!)

Katelyn doesn't really get the zoo, but she loves the fish! Check out this cute video! We're going to get a membership for our family when she gets a bit bigger, so everyone come and visit!

Mission Completed: House Hunting Successful!

Well--wahoo! Our house hunting trip was great! We were doubtful about being able to find a house in one week, but we found the house we wanted on day one! House hunting wasn't as romantic and fun as movies and ads make it seem, but it is true what they say, you know when you find the one that is meant for you!

Our house is a new construction house--we were so blessed when we found a builder who was dying to get rid of this home! The deals the seller was willing to put on the table for us to make an offer enabled us to get a lot more home for our money then we thought possible--which means that we have lots of room for anyone and everyone to come and visit! Katelyn agrees~!

Our new address is going to be 13508 Park Shadow Lane. Our home is in inside a large master- planned community. We're not super excited about belonging to a Home Owners Association (think Over The Hedge), but it's actually a good, protecting thing seeing how Houston and surrounding suburbs have no zoning restrictions. Without the HOA we might get some real questionable activity in the neighborhood. I guess we'll take the restrictions on the way we can decorate our front yard for the safety.

And now, here are some pictures! There are going to be a whole bunch, so shuffle through them as you will! The outside pictures were taken on a foggy morning, and the inside pictures are of the model home--as you can tell, our house isn't completed yet! You can check out our neighborhood at www.lakesofsavannah.com, and seriously, we're only 10-15 minutes from all the fun downtown Houston stuff, so start planning your vacations!!

Here is the floorplan, level 1, then 2

The outside (minus the construction, isn't it pretty?)

Another view...

Here's the backyard--imagine a garden....our garden is going to take up most of our backyard, but we have a park right around the corner, so I think it will work out!

Here's the entryway--

Here's a kitchen/family room shot! Isn't the fireplace funny--we're going to use it what, 3 days a year?! :)

Dining Room--we're probably not going to use it as a dining room, in fact, it's probably going to be empty for quite a while--

Here's our Gameroom--(at least that's what they call it here in Texas, it's just another family room). This is probably our favorite room in the house! Wahoo!

The Master Bedroom-

Master Bath--the closet attached to the bath is unbelievably huge!

Here's my bathtub!! Yeah!!

One of the bedrooms--ironically enough, this is how I want to decorate Katelyn's room--change the colors and take away the loud flowers, but leave the beadboard and the shelf! It was fun to imagine what it will look like!

Another bedroom--

And the last picture--our mailbox! These are located right across the street--which is a tender mercy for me because for some strange reason I LOATH having to walk around the neighborhood to get mail! Now I can pretend that I have a regular mailbox!

Love you all!

Call Him MASTER MIKE! :)

Here's the highlight of our week! Mike defended his Thesis and passed with raving reviews! Yeah!!

Here is Mike with his Advisor, Dr. Ray Arroyave. We are so thankful for all his help and support!

Now to the good stuff!
"The Undersigned duly appointed examining committee has conducted the final examination of Michael Eric Williams, candidate for the degree of Master of Science with a major in Mechanical Engineering...3 Passes, 0 Fails."

Here's the official paper declaring him DONE with defending his Thesis! And he did such a great job!

I filmed several portions of the defense--if you want to see how smart my man is, enjoy watching!

Here is the opening 2 minutes of his Defense. He ended up presenting for almost 1 hour! Go Mike!

Here is the segment where he talks about a few of the several programs he wrote. Pretty good...

And here is the conclusion! Yeah Mr. Master!

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! He did such a marvelous job--we were sure blessed! Graduation...HERE WE COME!

Well--that's the update! We're off to house hunting! Love you all!
