One Year Home Anniversary!

We bought our house September 1st, one year ago! We didn't move in right away as we had MAJOR renovations we were doing, but it's crazy to think it's been a year already!  Man, time goes SO fast!

I thought it would be fun to have some pictures of the updates. So much left to do, but if we get to stay here forever like we want to, we've got plenty of time for upgrades.  It's fun to see how far we've come in a year--I'll be curious to see what it looks like NEXT September.

:)

By far, the biggest changes have been in the kitchen. We did a total kitchen demo--down to the walls, and in some places beyond.  It is so bright, cheery, spacious, inviting and a tad country. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

The living room is our favorite room in the house. The big beautiful windows, pictures of all the things we love, our favorite colors.  We love this space.

The Office needs love. Some day, down the road, we will knock out a wall and close in a door and CHANGE THAT CARPET. For now, its functional, and centrally located, and I feel so blessed to have enough space to have a dedicated office.

The Girls Room got painted cute and quickly filled up with furniture.  It's not cute and matchy like I had planned, but the girls love it and even love the pink carpet..win, win!

Our bedroom is beautiful.  This fall/winter we are going to finally finish the trim, but it's big and functional and cozy.  I love it. Plus, it's purple.

Downstairs has been left mostly untouched. I have big plans though--so whomever would like to give me a Home Depot giftcard for Christmas, I'd be a happy girl!

All we did in the Boys Room is paint and install dark curtains (sleep is essential!). This room is HUGE...4 beds

The Laundry Room was the first to get a face lift. Someday we will change out the lighting and install awesome cabinets, and maybe make all the dressers match. For now, it's inspirational and function. Poom.

What in the WORLD did we ever do without a garage?!?

I learned from a friend that Summers are for outside work, so we did some work outside. So much left, but the house got a bit of a facelift and lightened up a bit.  Landscaping is a mystery to me, but some day it will be beautiful. But check out my sexy window boxes.  Awesome.

Hope you enjoyed the little tour. Can't wait to update this post again in a year and see what other changes we've made!!  *Thanks to my sista for thinking to take all the awesome before pictures.  She took so many more pictures than just this--so glad to have them!*
