Finishing Up...

Mike tells me that this weekend we will FINALLY finish our cabinets in our kitchen.  This has me excited--and got me thinking about FINALLY finishing decorating said kitchen.  

I have a knock-off photoshop program that I use and LOVE called GIMP.  I spent some time yesterday learning how to make silhouettes from any picture...how cute are these!  They are going to go right next to my neat quote I had printed last year, right above my stove. I'm excited to look at these everyday!

    

    

  

So, the question is...what color? They are going on a cream/yellow wall and these are the colors of my kitchen. Frames will be java color, like my cabinets. What do you think?

Craft morning--

I finally got a project done this morning that I've wanted to make for years. I love how it turned out!  Can't wait to pull up all my kids stats from years past and fill in their heights.  So fun!  

My hope is to re-decorate my Family Room this year--it's going to have to be a slow and steady process, but I'm going for a vintage, warm, almost country-ish look.  Got one part of the puzzle completed today--yeah!

Croup--

We are sick around here today...not just the usual, stuffy/runny nose sick, but croup sick. Amazing that 3 kids and 6 years into this motherhood things this is our first 'bout with croup. It's some fun stuff, let me tell you.  Boo!

Guess it's going to be a snuggly/PJ's/Elmo sort of day! Thank goodness for school holidays!

2012 Re-cap

I didn't do so well with our little blog this year--well, mostly at the end of the year.  Here is our year in review!

WINTER:

We spent a lot of time outside (15 minutes outside everyday as a 2012 New Years Goal).  Mike and I went with his buddies to Oceanside for a kid-free getaway.  Valentines Day.  

 

SPRING:

Easter. Luke turns one! (can you believe, I can't find a single picture from his birthday party? I know I took some, but I can't find them~!  Do you have any?).  More time outside. Zoo trips. Date nights. T-ball.

SUMMER: 

 Hold onto your hats...our summer was NUTS!

Yurtitude, (totally awesome, by the way!).  Mindy's birthday.  Ba-zillions of other birthdays too. Our 6 wedding anniversary.  MAJOR kitchen renovation. Craven family vacation to snowbird. Zoo-idge. Ma & Pa at pioneer trek.  Camping, camping, and more camping.  Date nights.  Golfing.  Mike's birthday. Katelyn's birthday.  Water fun.  Gardening. Family pictures. 4th of July.  Katelyn learns to ride a bike.  Josh's birthday.

FALL:

Katelyn starts Kindergarten. Josh starts preschool. Angry birds halloween. BYU homecoming celebrations--love the blue pancakes!  New baby coming in 2013.  Sick, sick, and then some more sickness.

WINTER (again):

COLD! Layton lights. New stockings. Texas Christmas vacation. The flu (boo!)
