Happy Birthday Dude-Man!

My little man is 1! Crazy!!  He's as cute as can be, a bit of a softy, cuddly, climbing, and smiley--a lot smiley.  He's becoming a bit of a momma's boy, but that's only until Dad comes home--then there is just no competition. He's not walking yet, stinker, but is close I think.  Sleeps long, eats A TON, and spreads lots of love!!
We love our Josh-Man!

First order of business...turn that car seat around!! Ah!!  Now his legs can have room to move!  Poor kid, he's been smushed in the thing for months!

Presents and cake...he didn't really get the opening presents thing all that much, but don't you worry, sister was right there to help!

Cake--there was a basketball, baseball, and volleyball. Cute, cute. He loved it!

Happy Birthday Josh.  We love you!!

Giddy up!!

We went to the Davis County fair last weekend, and participated in the Lawn Mower Races!!  A friend of Mike's from work is in charge of the event every year, and this year he recruited us to participate.  So. Much. Fun.  We lost--lame.  But fun anyway!

The person on the front, Mike, was blindfolded.  The person on the back was giving driving directions.  For every cone you hit, and thereby knocked off a tennis ball, you lost 5 seconds off your time.  Fastest time wins.  We lost, but we also went first, so let's say that we had the disadvantage!  See you next year!

We love the fair!

Raspberries!!

We headed down, last weekend, to Utah county to pick raspberries.  It was awesome.  I would highly recommend McBrides Briar Patch in Utah county.  The couple that owns it is fabulous, there are all sorts of fun animals to see, and even though the raspberries are the thorned variety, even the little kids could pick them without getting stabbed.

Thanks for the fun day, Becky and Holly!

They are back!!

I got my pictures back--it's basically a miracle!  Anywho, we had a great family vacation in St. George. The weather, believe it or not, was FABULOUS (!!), and we had a great time site seeing, shopping, eating, laughing, and playing.  We had a great house to stay in, and had a great time!

Car chalk to let people know who we were, and where we were going!
The beautiful home we stayed in.

Day 1, Zions Canyon.  A little bit of rain, and then beautiful weather and great company...

Day 2: Church and Mountain Meadows Massacre Memorial Site

Day 3: Las Vegas and Shopping

Katelyn and Brielle at the M and M factory
Waiting for the Bellagio fountains show--it was AWESOME!
Katelyn loved this big bear--she hugged it, talked to it, took lots of pictures with it...

Day 4: Shopping, Minute to Win It, Golfing, hanging out and swimming

Winner!
Day 5: St. George Temple Sessions, Tuachan

Tuachan was AWESOME!! If you ever get the chance, grab it and go!  The outdoor theater is unbelievable, the acting great, the whole thing so cool.  And a HUGE THANKS to my old friend Danielle for watching my babies so we could go kid-free!! See the happy faces on the couple up above--kid free!  Woot, woot! :)

Day 6: Coming home--hitting up Kolob canyon (so BEAUTIFUL!!) and the Henry Lunt statue.  I'm grateful for an amazing and inspiring heritage!

Wanna blog about St. George...but..

So, I want to blog about St. George, but the bulk of my pictures somehow did not make the transfer to my computer and are now gone from the camera so....I'm waiting for copies from the sisters...(hint, hint!)  In the meantime, to copy the ever awesome Jilli,
here are MY quirks...

I can't sleep without complete darkness.  I have to cover my cell phone charger light, turn my clock radio around, close the doors, pull down the blinds AND close the curtains tight.  I have real issues that my back door neighbors choose to keep their back porch light on all night, needless to say.

I can't handle people's eating noises, most especially (sorry to say it), my dear husbands'.  I can't stand slurping, swallowing, smacking, chomping or chewing.  People who eat loudly just about put me over the edge.

I also can't stand sleeping noises.  Snoring, breathing strange, gurgling, flem...gross, gross, gross!  If I'm not asleep first, it's over!

I sleep with earplugs every night, but just one ear plug.  One ear is against the pillow, the other plugged up with a little piece of purple heaven.  If I put ear plugs in both ears I can't sleep.  It makes my brain vibrate.

Here's TMI...I don't flush the toilet at night.  I am sure that it will wake up my children if I do--and sleeping through the night is SACRED!

I have a spot on my back, left shoulder blade that is always itchy.  Day in, day out, that spot needs to be scratched.

I have a lopsided neck.  Whether it comes from carrying a heavy backpack around on the same shoulder for more years then I can count, or whether I was born that way, it's lopsided.

I get super car sick in the car if I read, but not if I play on my fancy phone.

I prefer to wear non white socks--socks with decoration and fun things on them are even better!

I can't stand crushed ice.  I need full cubes or not ice at all.

I can't possibly bite, or even THINK about biting, anything cold or icy.  Painful, painful!

I hate putting away laundry.  I can gather, wash, rotate and fold laundry all day long, but I've got baskets of laundry that will sit for weeks (if I let them) cuz it's my least favorite household chore.

I clean toilets with my hand and a rag.  No wussy toilet bowl stick/wand thing for me.  Get your hand in there and get dirty!

I am super smell sensitive.  I can smell garbage in the next room, strange foods in the disposal, weird smells from the other room.  Mike says I make them up, they are really there!

What are YOUR quirks?

Princess Party with Grandma-...and Birthdays!

While the boys were on their fishing trip we headed to Liberty Park (awesome park, btw!) to have a Princess Party with Grandma Williams and the cousins.  Fun!!
We played in the splash pad and then had a princess picnic, after which Grandma treated to Arctic  Circle.  I didn't get one good picture of our princess picnic, would you believe it!, so you don't get to see it.  But trust me, we had fun!! :)

After our day at the Park, we looked forward to Carter's baby blessing and a crazy birthday bash!  Yeah for having bazillions of birthdays in the same month!

Thanks for coming to visit!! We love having you here!!

Minute to Win It

We're playing Minute To Win It at our upcoming family vaca.  What is your favorite Minute To Win It game?
