Me, Myself, and I...

I often. . . get sucked into blogging.
I have . . .great eyes.
I fear . . .my children falling from high places or burning themselves on open ovens.
I feel . . .excitement to close on our house!
I hear . . .HGTV (I'm going to miss it when we move...)
I smell . . .baby spit up and peanut butter
I wish . . .babies came sleeping through the night and potty trained
I hate. . .bugs in my house...especially ants. They ARE NOT supposed to live inside.
I think. . .I should read my scriptures with more purpose.
I know. . .how to use a vinyl lettering machine.
I want. . .to lose 30 pounds.
I always. . .feel grateful for my husbands job.
I am not. . .short.
I am like . . .my mother.
I believe. . .that I have a purpose and am loved.
I don't always. . .eat what I should.
I am happy that. . .my hunky-hubby has every other Friday off!
I win. . .at Boggle.
I lose. . .to Mike when we play Canasta...always.
I never. . .want to be unemployed again.
I need. . .something with sugar!
I listen. . .to Brad Paisley and Beyonce.
I am scared of. . .falling short of the person I am supposed to become.
I read. . .while I eat breakfast.
I am . . . truly blessed.

Friends--

The lesson in Relief Society yesterday was all about good friends who help us in a time when we really need it. I just have to give a shout out to Miss Elena--the girl who was an answer to my prayer at a time when I was far from home, nervous, unsure, and lonely. Even though we have a hard time catching each other now, and I never seem to answer my phone, I hope you know I still count you as one of my greatest blessings! In one short year, I found a real sister who helped me become a much better person! Love you lady!

And in other news...

Things are going well on the home front...we are hoping to close on our new home on Monday at 4:00. There ended up being some crazy hoops we are jumping through, but hopefully things will iron themselves out by Monday. We'll see! We're actually not moving until the 28th--there's some cosmetic changes we're going to make before we move in: painting, baseboards, building a pantry, installing appliances. It will feel more like us when we are done!

Josh is doing great! (And so is mom!)

He's a pretty good sleeper at night, generally only waking up twice, and he's pretty chill during the day. He's just like his Daddy, however, and likes to see that someone is around. He's content to just hang out, but just wants to know he's not all alone.
Katelyn is loving 'baby Josh' and so far we've been able to avoid any potentially life threatening experiences. I have noticed, however, that Joshua doesn't spend nearly as much time on the floor as Katelyn did--to much squishing potential!

Fun things we've done...
Played in an awesome splash park in Highland with Aunt Suzanne and Nathan...we had so much fun!

My parents basement flooded...just like it did 9 years ago. Back then, Kasey and I got displaced the garage...now it's Jilli's turn. What a bummer!

Mike and I love the babysitters at Grandma's house--we've gone on several date-lets (as Mike likes the call them. Official dates are only when you are totally without children and you are wearing yummy smelling stuff!)

At the Utah State Fair with Mike's best friend Dave and his date Julie. Checkin out the butter cow!

Had fun at the ward carnival

Katelyn and Josh both got their shots--Katelyn is all caught up until Kindergarten now. Thank goodness!!

Guess that just about covers it. We're still happy and healthy and making messes of all sorts and proportions! Until next time...

Dentist Time!

Katelyn and I both visited the dentist this last month--I've been a few times in the last month, actually, but her visit was monumental because it was her first one! And she did so well!! (And, by the way, after a 3 years of horrible dentists and horrible dental experiences, I've finally found a dentist I LOVE! Dr. Hansen in Syracuse is the best--I highly recommend him!)
Katelyn sat in the chair and kept her mouth open--she loved the water, but didn't like the suction. They cleaned her teeth and gave her fluoride, and she didn't have an issue once! I was so proud of my little two year old, who acted so big!

(Sorry there are two videos...I couldn't figure out how to delete the first one...)

Ode to Brielle

Miss Brielle left for BYU-I today...yeah!! We were SO sad to see her go, but SO excited as well. She's the first to go off to school as a freshman (I headed out as a Junior), and I am so grateful we've gotten to live here with her the last three months! Katelyn is sure going to miss "Aunt Bre-brell!" Good luck Brielle--come home to visit soon!! We love you!

P.S.

By the way, here's our new house. We close September 21st!
